Tuesday, November 4, 2025
Start: 6:30 pm
Location: Botanical Garden, Bohnenkamp House, Heliconia Room
Direct human activities such as the expansion and more intensive cultivation of agricultural land or the expansion of industrial and residential areas are destroying the habitats of many native plant and animal species. However, these human activities also have negative indirect effects, such as disrupting genetic exchange between populations and altering the local microclimate. This lecture will use current research findings to shed light on the influence of all these factors on plant seed production.
Talk by PD Dr. Stefan Abrahamczyk, Curator of the Botanical Garden.
