Talk by Philip Tinnefeld

Title: "DNA origami tools for superresolution microscopy and biosensing"
Occasion: CellNanOs Seminar
Host: Changjiang You
Start: 07.06.2022 - 17:15
Location: CellNanOs 38/201

About the speaker: The speaker is Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy Ludwig Maximilians-Universität München.

Abstract of the talk: DNA origami enables the modular incorporation of different functional units that can include baits, targeting moieties, signal amplification mechanisms and reporters. We use these possibilities to build a series of sensors for chemical inputs such as DNA and antibodies as well as for physical parameters such as membrane potentials and membrane curvatures.1, 2 The unique features of the sensors are characterized on the level of single entities using novel techniques such as p-MINFLUX on graphene coverslips and shrinking-gate fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (sgFCS).
