"Cranes and Sounds for Peace"

Action day in the Botanical Garden of the University of Osnabrück as part of the
Peace Jubilee "375 Years of the Peace of Westphalia".

Meeting point: Botanical Garden,

From 11:00 cranes folded from origami paper based on Sadako's model.
At 18:00 the highlight will be the Taiko concert with the groups HOSHIDAIKO and RYUU DAIKO from Osnabrück and the solo artist Taiko-ist TAKUYA from Munich.
A firework of taiko sounds awaits you!

The programme at a glance:

• 12:00: Small Taiko performance at the pond - RYUU DAIKO (approx. 5-10 minutes)
• 13:00: Guided tour through the Botanical Garden to the peace tree, the Ginkgo, with small insights into the Asian plant world (meeting point main entrance)
• 14:00: Small Taiko performance at the pond - RYUU DAIKO (approx. 5-10 minutes)
• 15:00: Who was Sadako? - Story about the cranes of Sadako (meeting point at the atrium)
• 15:00 - 18:00: Drinks, coffee and cake - Freundeskreis Botanischer Garten e.V.
• 16:00: Small taiko performance at the pond - RYUU DAIKO (approx. 5-10 minutes) 1
• 17:00: The last cranes will be hung up at the atrium before the concert ...
• 18:00: Big taiko concert - Japanese drums sound for the peace cranes
