Grants

  • Waiver of tuition fees at the host university
  • Monthly financial allowance (180-200 Euro)

 How to apply?

The application deadline is the end of January for the respective following academic year. This means that e.g. applications for WS 2020/SS2021 must be received in January 2020. The exact date must be requested in each case from the Biology examination office. Here you will find all documents necessary for the application.

Additionally, we expect:

  • Online application (Europe form, printed out, signed)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Letter of motivation
  • Language certificate
  • List of courses you would like to take abroad

Please submit your application documents punched in an envelope to the subject coordinator. Only applications that are complete and meet the formal criteria will be considered!

Selection criteria:

  • Letter of motivation: Your academic goals and objectives during your stay abroad are crucial. We recommend focusing on the teaching content and academic focus of the partner university.
  • Curriculum vitae: non-academic involvement is appreciated
  • Grade overview: Erasmus is not an elite program, yet outstanding academic performance is rewarded
  • Language skills
  • Master students are preferred
  • Students of higher semesters are preferred
  • Please select at least 2 partner universities so that alternative places can also be offered. We will do our best to consider your first choice!

The academic international office also emphasizes the following aspects:

  • Academic qualifications
  • Language skills
  • Study goals, their preparation and feasibility
